As I approached a cherry tree to photograph a nest installed in its safe center, I saw the robin, a female, whose dark feathers matched her nest's color. Brooding, she was nestled down. Only when I advanced did I realize she was present. Fearing me, she flew off and sounded an alarm. I photographed and then moved on, hoping that the bird would return quickly. May 1 ideally should but warm and sunny but today it is grey and misty, but fortunately not cold. All will be well or as nature ordains.

I, the Intruder: Mother Robin flees
As I approached a cherry tree to photograph a nest installed in its safe center, I saw the robin, a female, whose dark feathers matched her nest's color. Brooding, she was nestled down. Only when I advanced did I realize she was present. Fearing me, she flew off and sounded an alarm. I photographed and then moved on, hoping that the bird would return quickly.
