Protecting Art: forget about architectural aesthetics

What's wrong here? Why has the National Gallery installed two "cheesy" entrances with "spiderman" webs for entrances and exits? And why have fences been put in place on the staircases? Will these measures stop a Tea Party fascist from destroying art in the nation's premier art museum? What do these "protective" measures tell us about ourselves? Bunkers are the next big thing. Sad, very sad, said by one who was born when the bombs fell on Pear Harbor. Shame on us.
